  1. What is BlastTV?

BlastTV is an entertainment streaming platform founded in 2023 in the Philippines, offering a selection of Live Channels and On-Demand content that can be streamed through web, smart TVs, and apps (IOS and Android).

Initially a free ad-supported service exclusive to subscribers of participating home network broadband providers, BlastTV is also now available for everyone to enjoy through a monthly subscription of P179/month for an ad-free experience.

With over 30 live channels covering sports and entertainment, as well as an extensive library of on-demand content including popular TV shows, blockbuster movies, news, and factual entertainment, Blast TV aims to revolutionize the way viewers consume live TV and on-demand programming.

  1. How do I purchase Blast TV?

You can subscribe via web at app.blasttv.ph or download the app from Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For the free ads-enabled subscription (exclusive to subscribers of participating ISP partners), use the direct checkout link provided by your ISP to sign up and activate your subscription.

  1. Who are your participating ISP partners? How do I know I am eligible for the free BlastTV? Can I upgrade to the ‘no ads’ plan?

BlastTV’s current ISP partners include:

  • Converge (Fiber X, Bida Fiber, & Surf 2 Sawa Internet)
  • Globe at Home (Postpaid & GFiber Prepaid)

If you have an existing and active home broadband subscription with these providers, you should be able to activate your free BlastTV by using the exclusive checkout link they have provided to you.

If you’d like to watch ads-free, you can upgrade to the paid version by going to your Account > Subscription > and choosing your paid plan. If you haven’t received the link, please contact your ISP.

  1. What’s the difference between the free and the paid plan?

The free plan is only available to subscribers of BlastTV’s participating home broadband providers. The Blast Pass Monthly / 6 Months / Annual (No Ads) is the paid version available to direct subscribers and as an upgrade option for Converge and Globe at Home subscribers. The free and paid plans both have access to all BlastTV signature channels and its basic channels pack with the paid version offering the benefit of no ads for uninterrupted viewing and additional premium channels.

Make sure that you are using your voucher with the correct license or subscription plan. If you have a Monthly voucher, select the Monthly voucher redemption license to redeem. If you have a 6-month or annual voucher, select the correct voucher redemption license. If your voucher is still invalid, it might have expired and need to be replaced. Please go to your account page to update or change your payment method. We will immediately verify the new information and, if the charge is approved by your card issuer, you can continue enjoying our content.

If the issue continues to persist, you may get in touch with support@blasttv.ph

Troubleshooting Issues

  1. I am getting a “No Internet Connection. Please check your network.” error message while trying to view the content.

One of the most common issues seen by our users is that of weak and interrupted internet connectivity within their home Wi-Fi Networks. If you see constant buffering or loading circles or frequent changes in the quality of your streams, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart your browser, device and home Wi-Fi Network
  • Close the browser that had BlastTV open or the BlastTV app
  • Shut down your device
  • Unplug your Wi-Fi router/modem from power for 1-2 minutes
  • Plug your Wi-Fi router/modem back into power
  • Restart device, open BlastTV app in browser
  • Improve your Wi-Fi Signal
  • Move to a more central location / closer to your device
  • Move Wi-Fi router away from other wireless devices (microwaves) to avoid interference
  • Move router off the floor
  • Connect your computer directly to the modem
  • Close the browser that had BlastTV open
  • Shut down your computer
  • Unplug your modem from power for 1-2 minutes
  • Plug your modem back into power
  • Turn computer on, plug computer into modem via ethernet cable
  • Open BlastTV in a browser

Content will automatically get refreshed once connected to a stable internet connection. If none of the above work, and you continue to have the same issues, please consider contacting your Internet Service Provider.

  1. Why am I getting a “You’re not entitled to view this content.” error message?

You’re seeing this error due to either of the following:

1. You are not subscribed to any of our packages or the correct subscription plan, or

2. You’re trying to access content while outside the Philippines or using a foreign IP address (e.g. VPN).

To be able to access the content you want, check if you have an active subscription with us. If the error persists, contact our support team (support@blasttv.ph) for assistance.

  1. Desktop Browser Issues

When trying to access a live BlastTV event, if you are seeing a continuous loading circle or connection error within the video player, this may be resolved by signing out of BlastTV, clearing your web browser’s cache, and relaunching the browser.

If you’re unsure of how to clear your web browser’s cache, please see the below links for instructions from each of the most commonly used browsers:

  1. iPhone/iPad or Android issues

For any issues on the iOS / Android app please try to reinstall the app from your mobile device:

  • Check the app for any updates
  • Remove the app from your device
  • Restart your device
  • Reinstall the app on your device

If you continue to have trouble, install any available software updates. If these suggestions do not resolve the issues you are encountering, please try accessing the app through a different network or Wi-Fi connection to see if the same issues occur. Or, for more detailed information please visit the official iPhone/iPad or Android support pages.

BlastTV for TapGO TV Subscribers

  1. I’m an existing TapGO TV customer, will my account be migrated to BlastTV automatically or will I have to sign up again?

Existing TapGO TV All Access subscribers will be automatically updated to the new SKUs thus there is no need to sign up again. Only new subscribers will need to create an account.

However, those on the Life / Lite SKU will be given a special one-time free 1-month unique promo code to BlastTV’s paid monthly plan to experience the new platform.

  1. I purchased a TapGO TV Life / Lite Voucher last month but have not activated it yet. Will I be able to use it on BlastTV? Can I get a refund if I don’t want to use BlastTV?

You won’t be able to use these vouchers anymore as the Life and Lite subscriptions will no longer be offered. Instead, as a refund, we will replace your voucher and upgrade you to the monthly SKU via a unique promo code that will entitle you to a 1-month free access.

If you have purchased multiple vouchers and have not redeemed them, we will replace your vouchers with the 1-month vouchers for BlastTV.

  1. How will customers be notified of the migration?

We will notify our active subscribers via EDM and in-app announcement before November 3. There will also be posts done on our social media platforms (FB/IG).
